Michael’s Power Breakfast Recipe
On August 7, 1974 Philippe Petit made world history when he successfully walked across the twin towers in New York City on a tight wire. This captured the attention of millions of people. Thirty years later 73-year old Michael Grbich decided he would learn this dance of life. He was already dancing. Dancing across bridges to get people’s attention about health and wellness.
Michael Grbich is the epitome of good health and inspiration. At 80 years of age Michael is still going strong. He showed Whiskey & Apple Pie filmmakers his flexibility and balance as his tapped danced to the music of Sahra Baker and stepped across his tight wire in his living room with ease. What’s his secret? We wanted to know! It includes a vigorous exercise routine of weight training three times per week, tennis five days per week, and a power drink that will kick you into gear.
Below is his power drink recipe:
- 5 tablespoons of oatmeal
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon of protein powder
- 1 tablespoon of sunflower seeds
- 1 tablespoon of flax seed
- A half dozen chopped walnuts
- 1/2 Banana—diced
- 12 Blueberries
Grind all these things together (except the banana and blueberries), add to hot water and stir. Add 1/4 cup of milk, Add banana and a generous handful of blueberries. Drink to your good health!
